Okay, so, what the @#!$?
They were using themselves as bait? And calling those Creatures From The Black Lagoon catfish?

That's funny!!! The Creature From The Black Lagoon was my favorite monster movie when I was a young little redneck.
I'm not sure but I think those guys had some hollowed out logs or wooden boxes secured to the bottom of the riverbed.
The catfish go inside them for some reason? The guys stick their arm in there and the catfish things it's a smaller food fish?
I'm waitin' for my expert from "Rowing & Sowing" to tell me how it's done!!!! She probably has some buddies who do it?

Looks like a logical way to pursue the activity.

Well, except for the deep lacerations and all.

That's the weirdest thing I've seen all day. Well, except maybe for this:

I've seen some battle wounds on forearms from those who do the Noodle. I want nothing to do with sticking my arm down a hole with bait in my hand hoping it's a catfish who grabs it and not a great big snapping turtle! It takes a lot of redneck (and probably a lot of corn liquor - lol) to go noodling, and yes I have friends who Noodle. I might be a redneck, but there's not enough corn liquor on this planet to convince me that's a thrill I need to experience! Give me a cane pole and a bucket of worms!
