Happy 4th of July to you, Jimbo! :) So happy to see you back blogging! You've been missed!!

BTW, I was surprised that YOU knew what a fish fry was! LOL! I had never heard of it before! We don't have those things in the city! It's common up here though! LOL...Culture shock in my own country! The city sure is different from the country!

I'm doing it for health reasons, since my running and boxing days are over.

I just had my yearly physical and my LDL cholesterol was 145. Ten years ago it was 132 when I was running 5 & 10k races, and a physical fitness nut!

But here's the kicker.....in December 2004 my LDL cholesterol was 90!

That's about 5 months after Hurricane Charlie dropped a huge oak tree through the middle of my trailer and completely demolished it.

I spent the next 5 months working like a mad man cutting that tree, and god knows how many dozens more out of my yard.

When I wasn't at my regular job, I had a chainsaw, or a rake, or a shovel in my hand. I lost 2 inches in my waistline, and started getting the six pack abs back and everything.

So, I figure since I have all these mounds of dirt on the back of my lot, I might as well move some dirt.
I'm not going at it as hard as I did back in 2004. Just a couple hours a day, or every other day.

I finally gave up soft drinks, now if I could just make myself eat healthy!LOL...Not gonna happen!

I used to be ridiculously macho back in my twenties and thirties, and somewhat macho in my early forties. Now I'm just a bored fifty year old curmudgeon!LOL
