Hard to Bear?I was sent these photos in an email from my Dad and thought it was post worthy. The email said "the bear was walking across Rainbow Bridge (Old Hwy 40 at Donner Summit,Truckee) on Saturday when two cars also crossing the bridge scared
the bear into jumping over the edge of the bridge. Somehow the bear caught the
ledge and was able to pull itself to safety. Authorities decided that nothing
could be done to help Saturday night so they returned Sunday morning to find the bear sound asleep on the ledge. "

"After securing a net under the bridge the bear was tranquilized, fell
into the net, lowered, then woke up and walked out of the net. "

There was a moral at the end of this photo spread that said........... "There is a moral to this story you know; this old bear made a wrong move and found he was hanging by his nails. Somehow he was able to pull himself up onto the ledge where he saw he was in a very bad, impossible situation and what did he do? Yep, he took a nap and sure enough the situation took care of itself while he was asleep.
The moral is that when confronted with a bad situation sometimes the best solution is to take a nap. "

My first thought after reading that was "Damn......that bear is a democrat or a government employee for sure?"
You can click on the pictures to enlarge them.
Then Dad sent me these little words of advice below !!!!!LOL
Never piss off a redneck who owns a backhoe!

hehehe. Definitely a democrat government employee who belongs to a labor union. Or possibly a French worker...

I thought you were going to say, "And then the bear walked out of the net and promptly mauled the rescue team."
The End.

Thank heavens I'm not the only Republican out here! I like the way you think!

Jeanna
Good one. Then the moral would have been "let sleeping bears lie"!

Puss
Quit lookin'at that bears butt!

I've always been a fan of having a nap when the shit hits the fan....hence why I spend a lot of time ASLEEP!

I guess I'm democrat through and through...I can't tell you how many problems have magically gone away just by taking a nap! :)

You and your mom are my favorite democrats!LOL!
I guess I need to get more democratic? Only with the naps though!

Steph
You should spend more time asleep than awake here lately.
